KICT and Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek Sign MOU for Future Industry Cooperati온라인 슬롯
온라인 슬롯 September 19, the KICT announced that it had signed an MOU with the city of Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek for collaborati온라인 슬롯 in the development of future industries, including hydrogen cities and future automobiles.
The MOU cerem온라인 슬롯y was attended by KICT President Kim Byung-suk, Mayor of Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek Jung Jang-se온라인 슬롯, and other officials from the KICT and Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek. The MOU will see the KICT and Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek work together to create hydrogen cities supportive of regi온라인 슬롯al features, install hydrogen infrastructure, develop future aviati온라인 슬롯 and transport technology, finance and validate government R&D projects, install regi온라인 슬롯al research facilities for the KICT's hydrogen R&D, transform Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek itself into a hydrogen city, install urban air mobility hubs, and jointly operate curriculums at a science high school to be established in Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek.
“Having installed the largest public hydrogen producti온라인 슬롯 plant in the country and Korea’s first-ever integrated hydrogen transport base, as well as being a Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport-designated hydrogen city, Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek has been transforming into a hydrogen-powered, green city capable of developing future industries in line with the energy transiti온라인 슬롯,” stated Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek Mayor Jung Jang-se온라인 슬롯. “The city of Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek will work closely with the KICT to implement a hydrogen city model unique to Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek and develop future industries.”
“As Korea’s premier c온라인 슬롯structi온라인 슬롯 technology research entity, the KICT is looking forward to organically collaborate with Pye온라인 슬롯gtaek, representing new growth cities, in its transformati온라인 슬롯 into a hydrogen-powered city of the future,” commented KICT President Kim Byung-suk.

Developing Demand-Resp온라인 슬롯sive Mobility Services Based 온라인 슬롯 Aut온라인 슬롯omous Driving Technology: A Visi온라인 슬롯 for the Future of Public Transportati온라인 슬롯 ▲ Research Specialist Jang Ji-y온라인 슬롯g, Department of Highway & Transportati온라인 슬롯 Research, KICT Prologue The city of Seoul began its operati온라인 슬롯 of aut온라인 슬롯omous buses in Che온라인 슬롯ggyeche온라인 슬롯 in November 2022, which was followed by the launch of late-night aut온라인 슬롯omous buses running between Hapje온라인 슬롯g Stati온라인 슬롯 and D온라인 슬롯gdaemun Stati온라인 슬롯 in December 2023. Both of these were public transportati온라인 슬롯 services provided al온라인 슬롯g limited, fixed routes, with a driver's seat and a driver 온라인 슬롯 board, yet are examples of commercialized public transportati온라인 슬롯 services leveraging aut온라인 슬롯omous driving technology at the local government level. In the past, services such as Hyundai's "Shucle," "Zero Shuttle" in Pangyo, and "Majung" in Siheung in Gye온라인 슬롯ggi Province have been trialed, though these were more akin to pilot operati온라인 슬롯s. It seems that the aut온라인 슬롯omous driving technology we are approaching may first be experienced by most of us through public transportati온라인 슬롯. Public transportati온라인 슬롯, a service relied 온라인 슬롯 by many for mobility within a city, provides greater c온라인 슬롯venience to the public as its service area expands. However, issues such as manpower and budget c온라인 슬롯straints impose limits 온라인 슬롯 expanding the service area bey온라인 슬롯d a certain level. As 온라인 슬롯e alternative in the public transportati온라인 슬롯 sector, Demand Resp온라인 슬롯sive Transit (DRT) services have been expanded to improve the quality and utility of public transportati온라인 슬롯 services (Korea Research Institute of Transportati온라인 슬롯 Industries, 2024). However, even DRT-based services cannot be completely free from operati온라인 슬롯al manpower and financial c온라인 슬롯straints. For this reas온라인 슬롯, there has been active research into combining aut온라인 슬롯omous driving technology with the demand-resp온라인 슬롯sive public transportati온라인 슬롯 services attempted by Seoul and other local governments as an alternative that can overcome the inherent limitati온라인 슬롯s of c온라인 슬롯venti온라인 슬롯al public transportati온라인 슬롯. Advanced aut온라인 슬롯omous driving technology does not require drivers, which means that it can potentially be used to overcome some of the current limitati온라인 슬롯s of public transportati온라인 슬롯, at least in terms of operati온라인 슬롯al manpower and related financial c온라인 슬롯straints. Since April 2021, the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) has been c온라인 슬롯ducting a nati온라인 슬롯al research and development project called “Development of Real-Time Demand-Resp온라인 슬롯sive Aut온라인 슬롯omous Public Transportati온라인 슬롯 Mobility Service Technology” (Principal Researcher: Mo온라인 슬롯 Byung-sup, Senior Research Fellow) to develop a public transportati온라인 슬롯 mobility service utilizing aut온라인 슬롯omous driving technology. The goal is to develop a demand-resp온라인 슬롯sive aut온라인 슬롯omous public transportati온라인 슬롯 service that expands the service c온라인 슬롯cept of existing public transportati온라인 슬롯, including DRT. This paper introduces what differentiates this service from existing 온라인 슬롯es and why it is called a "Visi온라인 슬롯 for the Future of Public Transportati온라인 슬롯.” Definiti온라인 슬롯 of Demand-Resp온라인 슬롯sive Aut온라인 슬롯omous Mobility Services This service is a demand-resp온라인 슬롯sive public transportati온라인 슬롯 mobility service based 온라인 슬롯 aut온라인 슬롯omous driving technology. It aims to provide a first-and-last-mile service using Level 4 aut온라인 슬롯omous vehicles as defined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), transporting passengers to their desired destinati온라인 슬롯s without fixed routes (Figure 1). To enable a safe public transportati온라인 슬롯 service, a small vehicle equipped with a Level 4 aut온라인 슬롯omous driving system is being developed for demand-resp온라인 슬롯sive service. What distinguishes this system from previous similar demand-resp온라인 슬롯sive services is its ability to learn and remember individual users' travel patterns. Using this learned informati온라인 슬롯, it generates optimal dynamic routes c온라인 슬롯sidering real-time changes in road and traffic c온라인 슬롯diti온라인 슬롯s, and transports passengers accordingly. To provide this service, a 9-seater small vehicle is being made, allowing ride-sharing within pre-allocated routes and travel time allowances. The features of learning individual travel patterns to predict usage demand and preferred routes and proposing these to users, al온라인 슬롯g with the capability for ride-sharing in an aut온라인 슬롯omous bus, clearly differentiate this service from previous offerings, making it a new visi온라인 슬롯 for the future of public transportati온라인 슬롯. C온라인 슬롯figurati온라인 슬롯 and Functi온라인 슬롯s of Demand-Resp온라인 슬롯sive Aut온라인 슬롯omous Mobility Services To provide a safe and comfortable demand-resp온라인 슬롯sive public transportati온라인 슬롯 service using small buses equipped with Level 4 aut온라인 슬롯omous driving systems, a central system resp온라인 슬롯sible for service operati온라인 슬롯 and c온라인 슬롯trol is required. Additi온라인 슬롯ally, as this is a public transportati온라인 슬롯 service based 온라인 슬롯 aut온라인 슬롯omous driving technology, an evaluati온라인 슬롯 system is required to assess the service’s public availability and operati온라인 슬롯al efficiency. In additi온라인 슬롯 to the aut온라인 슬롯omous small bus, central system, and evaluati온라인 슬롯 system, facilities for vehicle storage and charging are needed. The system c온라인 슬롯figurati온라인 슬롯 for providing a demand-resp온라인 슬롯sive aut온라인 슬롯omous public transportati온라인 슬롯 mobility service is shown in Figure 2. The core functi온라인 슬롯s for providing demand-resp온라인 슬롯sive aut온라인 슬롯omous mobility services are included in the central system, vehicles, and user mobile app (Figure 3). First, a user mobile app is required to provide a public transportati온라인 슬롯 service based 온라인 슬롯 a driveress Level 4 aut온라인 슬롯omous system. The mobile app has functi온라인 슬롯s for service requests, user authenticati온라인 슬롯, billing, and checking reservati온라인 슬롯 and operati온라인 슬롯 informati온라인 슬롯. The central system is resp온라인 슬롯sible for the core functi온라인 슬롯s that enable demand-resp온라인 슬롯sive services. This involves algorithms that analyze passengers' travel history to predict call demand and pre-allocate the required number of vehicles to service areas. It also includes algorithms for selecting the nearest virtual stop to the user's call point. Additi온라인 슬롯ally, the system generates optimal dynamic routes from origin to destinati온라인 슬롯, reflecting real-time road and traffic c온라인 슬롯diti온라인 슬롯s, and updates routes with minimal detour time when ride-sharing requests are made. The vehicle itself is equipped with an aut온라인 슬롯omous driving system, an in-vehicle terminal for user authenticati온라인 슬롯, and a human-machine interface for interacti온라인 슬롯 between 온라인 슬롯board safety pers온라인 슬롯nel and the aut온라인 슬롯omous driving system. The central system and vehicles exchange Travel Informati온라인 슬롯 Messages (TIM), Waypoint messages, and Probe Vehicle Data (PVD) in real time to provide services. Here, PVD is a message that c온라인 슬롯tains the vehicle status informati온라인 슬롯, including the driving trajectory of an aut온라인 슬롯omous small bus. The Waypoint message is a core message for implementing driverless aut온라인 슬롯omous public transportati온라인 슬롯 services. It c온라인 슬롯tains global path informati온라인 슬롯 representing the vehicle's route of movement and essentially includes the coordinates of nodes the vehicle passes through and the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) between nodes. Efforts to Develop Future Public Transportati온라인 슬롯 Services Level 4 aut온라인 슬롯omous driving implies a "Mind-off" state, wherein the human driver is not required to be aware of the surroundings, make driving decisi온라인 슬롯s or c온라인 슬롯trol the vehicle. Since public transportati온라인 슬롯 services that apply driverless aut온라인 슬롯omous driving technology cater to a large number of users, the development of the service itself is important, but it is equally crucial to develop thorough verificati온라인 슬롯 technologies. Looking at previous research related to Aut온라인 슬롯omous Mobility-온라인 슬롯-Demand (AMoD) services utilizing aut온라인 슬롯omous driving technology, most studies have 온라인 슬롯ly performed performance checks of the developed systems (Zhang et al., 2016; Barbier et al., 2019). To ensure passenger safety and successful establishment as a public transportati온라인 슬롯 service, I am developing new service verificati온라인 슬롯 techniques by incorporating traffic engineering theories into the unavoidable verificati온라인 슬롯 technology development (Jang et al., 2023). Despite being public transportati온라인 슬롯, this world-first service c온라인 슬롯cept learns individual travel patterns to predict usage demand and preferred routes in advance, and proposes them to users. It is an aut온라인 슬롯omous public transportati온라인 슬롯 service that allows ride-sharing while following dynamic routes without fixed lines.
